Puerto Vallarta Beach Fun for Spring Break

For a Spring Break vacation, you might want to consider Puerto Vallarta,  one of the most popular destinations in Mexico.

Packed with incredible pure white sandy beaches, most college students will simply stake a claim on a section of the beach and remain there for the duration of the trip.

But there is plenty to do in Puerto Vallarta that is related to the Mexican culture as well.

Those who love shopping and other recreational activities can take a trip to Tequila or attend concerts, visit craft shops, and explore the many pieces of sand sculptures that are proudly displayed along the beachfront at Puerto Vallarta.

There are fine eateries, great nightspots, and terrific shopping in Puerto Vallarta, which is why this is such a popular Mexican resort all year round, not just during spring break.

A four star hotel  package at Puerto Vallarta may offer the following m starting at around $550.00 including airfare from New York:

* All rooms feature central air conditioning and mini-bar

* Satellite television reception

* Telephones and wireless Internet

* Restaurant

* No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

* Pool

* Fitness Center or Spa

* Bar/Lounge

* 24 Hour Front Desk

* Beach

* Room Service

* Concierge

* Shops/Commercial Services

* Barber/Beauty Shop

* Spa Services

In addition, Puerto Vallarta has the cleanest water in Mexico.  The water is treated and purified, but the distribution system is not so perfect.  In most hotels and restaurants, you will get purified water – if in doubt, always ask.  You can purchase bottled water as well.

If you are a nature lover, then a must-see visit to Cuale Waterfalls should be added to your list of things to do while you are at Puerto Vallarta.  It takes about four hours to get there, but it is well worth the trip.

Once you arrive you can take a dip in the many pools that lie beneath the waterfalls.  Or you can take a horseback ride through the Sierra Madre Mountains and enjoy the beautiful landscape and scenery before heading back to the beaches at Puerto Vallarta.

For a great Spring Break vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, you need to book early!  Contact your travel agent soon to reserve your spot in one of the great resorts of Puerto Vallarta.

Spring Break in South Florida: Key West, Miami, Daytona & South Beach

Florida is a perennial vacation spot for many, but for college students it is one of the best places to go on Spring Break.

Key West has white-sand beaches and turquoise water.  It is considered a tropical paradise for visitors, still relatively unspoilt despite its popularity ever since the days of Ernest Hemingway.

  Water sports are highly popular here such as diving, snorkeling, and exploring the underwater coral reefs.

Miami Beach has become more and more famous as the years have passed.  It is a place where colorful buildings line the streets and shopping is superb, encompassing the most well-known designer shops in Florida.

With a variety of restaurants, you will be spoilt for choice in Miami.  The beaches are great and of course the weather couldn’t be better this time of year.

South Beach has become synonymous with the best things in life, and a certain style that can’t be beat. The beach at South Beach has become just as popular as Miami Beach.  Although the hotels on Collins Avenue are expensive, you can find affordable accommodations on Collins between 10th and 15th St.

Daytona is well known for its Daytona 500 races as well as Bike Week, and hordes of college students descend here during Spring Break.

While most college students will spend their entire stay on the beach, Daytona does offer the opportunity to visit the Kennedy Space Center, a fascinating trip and a good back up destination if the weather turns a bit unpredictable.

The best thing about vacationing in Florida is that it is quite affordable, and the airfares tend to be lower than other vacation spots, especially if you keep an eye out for the best deals. However, you need to book early, as many students from across the country will fly to Ft. Lauderdale and other major cities in Florida.

Only two and a half hours from New York, time is of the essence when getting ready for a Spring Break vacation.  So pack light, preferably with only carry-on luggage. Try to get an early flight, wear your swim suit or trunks under your clothes, and upon arrival, get ready to hit the beach!

Spring Break Fun in San Diego 2

 Spring Break Fun in San Diego 2

San Diego is great because it is quite compact, and easy to walk around. The whole downtown area is full of trolleys if you don’t fancy walking too much.

Another well-known attraction in San Diego is their world-famous Sea World.  Make this a definite stop on your trip, since like the Sea World in Florida, it is full of fascinating creatures from the deep, and also has killer whale, dolphin and other shows.

San Diego is a naval base, so don’t be surprised to see a lot of nice looking men in uniform. It can make for a lively nightlife, but generally the city is very safe and low key.

Another place the kids might love is the San Diego Maritime Museum. It features the ship that was used to film Master and Commander with Australian actor Russell Crowe, and you can get a real sense of what life must have been like at sea.

The whole area has nice restaurants, art galleries, souvenir shops, and the most wonderful sea views.

Nearby is the famous Hotel Del Coronado, where many Royals have stayed. It still tries to retain its old World charm with it sophistication.

Nearby is the border with Mexico, so if you fancy a quick trip to Tijuana, there are regular excursions daily.

Spring Break Fun in San Diego 1

Spring Break Fun in San Diego 1

If you are planning a trip during Spring Break that is both affordable and fun, why not select San Diego?

Nestled in the lower southwestern corner of California and only a stone’s throw from the border with Mexico, San Diego features all that a large city has to offer, but with a small town feel.  It is a great destination for anyone who loves the ocean, warm weather pretty much all year round, and lots of activities in the outdoors.

The first stop in San Diego where you and the whole family can enjoy a fun-filled day is at the San Diego Zoo. It is a model zoo in terms of its care for the animals and breeding program.  The variety of wildlife offers your kids a wonderful opportunity to learn about these animals as well as appreciate their value, since many are very close to extinction.

There are special shows and educational programs, so plan before you go, and try to get there early to see your favorite animals being fed.

The zoo can literally occupy the whole day, but there are loads of other fun things to do too.

There is a Puppet Show in Balboa Park, where the San Diego Zoo is located.  You can spend a lovely day there and have a picnic lunch as well.  If you have young children, you can visit the Children’s Zoo.  Here they can interact with baby animals, and pet other more friendly animals as well.

For dinner, you can go to the Seaport Village, where there are a variety of restaurants geared towards casual dining.

The Gas Light area is also very popular for fine dining, with its old world charm.
