Two Harbors, located on the north-west side of the island, is a great scuba site due to its wrecks and vast caves. Casino Point Marin Park is rich in marine life, reefs, and wrecks. The warm waters of the Pacific make this a year-round scuba destination that offers something for everyone, no matter what their level of expertise. Catalina Island is also an adorable little jewel in the Pacific, with lots to see and do.

Don’t forget that Sea World is also here in Orlando, not just Disney World, and is also well worth seeing. Check to see if there are any special package deals that combine all the attractions during the time you’re planning to visit.

While the aforementioned land package is only $199.00, which is quite inexpensive, begin searching the Internet for air/hotel packages to see if there are cheaper deals.  If you stay within a 5-mile radius of the park, there is usually a complimentary shuttle service available.

Book early!  With the current recession, most travelers will be choosing destinations that are closer to home.  Yes, people who live in Florida DO go to visit these places, especially on school trips, so plan ahead.
