The Caribbean: exotic and romantic vacations 3

Another option for a Caribbean vacation is the all inclusive resort holidays, a great choice for the budget conscious traveller. Room, food, entertainment, are all included in one low price, and the food is usually buffet style, to accommodate a variety of tastes.

The Dominican Republic has some very good ones, though do always check to see how far away from the airport and the main attractions of the locale your resort is, and whether or not you will need a rental car.

Many places offer free shuttle service to all the main attractions, and/or offer daily tours, but if you want to go off the beaten path, you may need to add a rented car to your package.

When you are looking for a hotel, resort, or cruise ship, make sure it has the activities that you are most interested in, swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing and so on. Comparison shop on cruise ships in terms of price, type of room, inside and outside, with or without balcony, and above all, which ports of call you will get to enjoy.

If you are choosing the locale yourself, make sure there is enough to do for the time you are going to stay there, and contingency plans if the weather does not turn out as great as you hope.

With sunshine, good food and stunning natural features guaranteed, your vacation in the Caribbean, whichever island you choose, is sure to be unforgettable.

The Caribbean: exotic and romantic vacations 2

Caribbean culture is a vibrant mix of African, Indigenous, European and North American traditions. This has resulted in unique forms of dance, art, architecture, language, cuisine and much more.

During your vacation, you may like to wander through museums of Caribbean art, visit a traditional village or witness a national dance performance. The music of the Caribbean – reggae, salsa and soca are just a few of the styles are an essential part of everyday life. Rhythm and soul are very important to many people in the Caribbean islands.

You will find a very laid back atmosphere, but do keep in mind that you can’t be too relaxed, as crime against tourists happens all over the world now.

Each of the Caribbean Islands has its own special appeal, and the most difficult decision will be deciding between them for your vacation. Another good choice might be to select a cruise for 7 to 10 days, so you can experience various ports of call.

Cruise ships for the Caribbean mainly leave from the Gold Coast of Florida, but you can usually find trips from various ports of call up and down the Eastern seaboard, and the Gulf coast of Texas too.

The great thing about a cruise is that food, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment are pretty much all included in the one price. Pack and unpack once, and yet get to experience a wide variety of relaxing and romantic spots.

The whole aspect of life on board ship is also very laid back, though it can be as active as you want it to be, with swimming pools, rock walls, casinos, and all manner of other actitivies you can participate in.

How You Are Expected To Act on a Cruise 3

Another thing you might want to think about is not taking a lot of valuables with you on cruises. By all means dress up nicely, but there is no need for a lot of jewels.

Nor should you bring every single piece of portable electronic equipment than you own. If you cherish your valuables, do not take them along with you on cruises. Use common sense when it comes to packing and taking care of yourself and your belongings any time that you leave home for any period of time.

If you don’t want to lose it, then don’t bring it, should be the rule of thumb.

If you get off the ship, be aware of local laws and customs, and be vigilant at all times. Make sure you know when you have to be back and don’t get lost. Also make sure that you are as vigilant as you would be about your own safety back home–no dark alleys or iffy looking neighborhoods, please, not even in daylight.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who prey on tourists whom they think are quite wealthy compared with them, and believe me, if you have a little map or guide book with you, you are an obvious tourist, and thus an obvious target.

Watch your digital cameras, money and credit cards at all times, and don’t be distracted. Go with your gut feeling. Shopping for ‘bargains’ will be anything but if the stuff is rubbish and you get your pocket picked in the process.

Again, be courteous to all locals-just because they are different does not mean they are inferior, and again, be careful of things like excessive drinking, which can get you into trouble with the local authorities.

Exercise some common sense, instead of letting it ALL hang out, and you and your cruise comrades should have a super time.

How You Are Expected To Act on a Cruise 2

Going on a cruise is supposed to be paradise.

You are going to have the opportunity to see and do things that you might not ever get the chance to ever experience again, so you should all really plan on having the time of your lives.

But that also means behaving appropriate while you are on cruises, no matter how much you might have had to drink or how happy you are to be away from your job and your home.

It is absolutely in no way acceptable to go on cruises and act like a drunken idiot or player, so do not even try and think about behaving so inappropriately while you are on your cruise. Have a good time by all means, and if you do choose to party, that is great.

However, you are expected to be a mature and very responsible adult at all times.

Always be considerate of other people on board because there will be tons of people on there with you, and it is really important for you to remember that it is not all about you but many others are trying to have a good time as well.

There is no reason to try and spoil anyone else’s vacation or getaway, no matter what. If you can remember all of these things whenever you do go on any cruises then you and everyone else should be able to have the best time of your lives.

Follow the etiquette regarding meal sittings, no matter how hungry you are, or how annoyed you might be about the restaurants and timings. Be courteous at the buffet as well, if that is what is on offer.

How You Are Expected To Act on a Cruise 1

There is plenty you need to know when it comes to going on cruises, and how you are expected to act while you are at sea.

Too many people go on cruises and decide that they can just absolutely make a fool out of themselves.

It is very important that you act civilized and appropriate throughout the entire cruise.

The cruise lines will not tolerate anyone being on their ship in a drunken state and harassing any other individuals on the cruise, nor will they tolerate anyone being disrespectful in any way whatsoever.

You would think that we are all adults and nobody should have to tell us how we are expected to act out in public, but unfortunately that is not always the case at all sometimes when people go on vacation.

Their sense of entitlement and being on vacation and letting loose means there are always going to be those individuals that feel as though they can act whatever way they like, and can ruin things for everyone near them on the cruise.

Therefore, this article will deal with cruise etiquette so that everyone can have an enjoyable time on the cruise.

Cruises: A Great Getaway 2

Be sure that you get on the internet first, before deciding for sure which cruise line you will be choosing for your romantic escape. You could also go in together at a travel agency and consider making your plans that way instead. There will be plenty of very helpful agents available to help and walk you through the process, as long as you choose a highly reputable travel agency. Often they know about cruises suited to particular interests like watersports, or with destinations for the avid golfer.

You also have to decide on your port of departure. That is easy for most people who live on the Eastern seaboard, or the west coast, as there are many ships most likely leaving from your city, or one close by.

If you have to travel to get to the place where the cruise starts, make sure your package includes airfare to the departure port, and also from the arrival port at the end of the cruise, in case they are different. Also make sure you leave plenty of time to get to the ship terminal, and find out if there are free transfers from the airport, or easily accessible buses.

You can choose a cruise to just about anywhere these days; it is only a question of length of time and destination.

Once you have done your research, and made sure you have planned a trip that is right for you, or your whole family, you will be pretty sure that you are in for quite a fabulous experience.

There will be great food, wonderful romantic dancing and plenty of privacy if you need to take that route as well.

The overall experience of going on cruises can really be amazing and the memories that you two will make together will last a lifetime.

It is so important to enjoy yourselves on your cruise, no matter what, embrace the moment and take it all in. It is your chance to live luxuriously and get away from it all.
