Here is a great article on the benefits of exercise, and how you should incorporate it into your daily life.
Try to choose an exercise you can do all the time without a lot of special equipment that you would have to either lug wth you, or leave behind, and then not exercise as a result.
Also think about exercise when you choose you place to stay. I always choose a hotel with a pool and gym if at all possible, or one with those facilities nearby.
And locations with a lot of good choices for walking.

Yoga is not only great, low impact exercise, you don’t need any special equipment, and can do it anywhere.
In this article, it emphasises how yoga can be of great benefit for back pain.
Back pain occurs quite often when we are on vacation-airline seats or long car or train or bus rides, heavy luggage, strange beds, can all contribute to the aches and pains of a bad back.
Again, yoga can help.

I found this very encouraging article that says exercise does not have to be all about killing yourself in the gym. Walking and yoga count too. Best of all, you can keep on doing them even on vacation, to stay fit and trip even if you are having a tempting treat or two at your lovely destination.
