Spring in Stowe, Vermont 1
One of the most beautiful areas for vacations is in the Northeast, specifically Stowe, Vermont.
While Stowe is normally considered a skiier’s paradise in the winter, Stowe holds a special place in the hearts of families who visit each year during the spring months.
At Stowe, you can take advantage of every activity available during this time of year. For one thing, if you love to ski, this is the place to be, especially with the snow we have had this year. Skiing, snowboarding, you name it, we’ve had the snow for it, so check online for the current conditions if you want to get in some early spring skiing at Stowe.
But sooner or later, there will be a thaw, and that when you can take advantage of other non-snow activities at Stowe. These include biking on the Stowe Recreation Path, a five-mile paved trail that begins at the Inn at Stowe Village and takes you through the meadows and forests, and over wooden bridges that are part of this most scenic and enjoyable ride.
You can even make plans to have a picnic lunch and take in some swimming (weather permitting) by checking the many tour options available through the local tour company.
There are over 100 shops, department stores, and shopping malls in the Stowe area. This is one place where you can literally shop till you drop. There are also stores where you will find handmade quilts and crafts, as well as their famous maple syrup.
In fact, from March 22 through March 29, you can participate in the Annual Maple Open House Weekend. Here you will learn about how sugar is made as well as sample this sweet delight.
